After American airs-trikes on Iraq and Syria | Iranian-backed militias conduct repositioning operations for wea-pons and ammu-nition in areas of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources reported that during the past hours, the Iranian-backed militias carried out, new repositioning operations within several areas of Deir Ezzor, and this came after the American airstrikes during the past hours on militia positions at the Iraqi side near the Syrian border, in addition to the American air targeting of the militias in Al-Bokamal at dawn yesterday, and the repositioning operations were for changing the location of storage of weapons and ammunition.
According to Syrian Observatory sources, the militias transported weapons, which are short- and medium-range missiles, from Al-Sayal area to Al-Mazarea area on the outskirts of Al-Mayadeen, and they were stored underground. They also transported ammunition from the outskirts of Deir Ezzor city to the vicinity of Hatlah, north of the city. The transfer operations were carried out in a precisely and discreetly, where empty trucks were sent in different directions during weapons transfer operations for camouflage.
SOHR reported that since the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the American Air Force, through its warplanes and drones, has carried out at least 15 attacks on areas controlled by the Iranian-backed militias in Deir Ezzor, targeting positions, posts, military vehicles and weapons and ammunition warehouses, resulting in the killing of 27 of the militias; ten of them were of Syrian nationality, and the rest -which means 17- were of Arab and Asian nationalities, while at least 15 others were injured, as well as heavy material losses in the targeted positions.
It is worth noting that four of the aforementioned airstrikes have taken place since the beginning of the new year 2024.
The last one was yesterday at dawn, where two Iranian-backed militias of non-Syrian nationalities were confirmed killed, as a result of airstrikes by warplanes likely to be American, targeting at least one weapons truck on the outskirts of Al-Sayal of Al-Bokamal in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the death toll is likely to increase due to the presence of at least three injured persons, some of them are in a critical condition. The strikes that took place, targeted a weapons shipment and a warehouse in the vicinity of Al-Bokamal.
