Afrin | Turkish-backed factions arrest six including a woman returning to their birthplace

Aleppo province: A joint patrol of the Turkish Intelligence and the Military Police arbitrarily arrested a woman from Afrin in Ritonakah Village in Shiran district in Afrin countryside, while one of her relatives was arrested in the centre of Afrin City for unknown reasons, where they were taken to an unknown destination.

On the same context, members of the Civil Police arrested a 31 years-old young man and another civilian in his 50s from Kansafra Village, where they were arrested in Jinderes district western of Afrin.

According to reliable SOHR sources, one of them was arrested for “performing compulsory service during the control of the former Autonomous Administration and he was taken to the infamous Ma’arata Prison, while the fate of the other civilian remains unknown.

Members of a security checkpoint at the entrance of Afrin City arrested a civilian, five months after he returned to the area from Turkey, where he was taken to an unknown destination with no information regarding his fate.

Meanwhile in Darkaraih Village in Afrin countryside, a 32 years-old young man was arrested by the Military Police, after returning to his birthplace from Aleppo City and his fate remains unknown.

Yesterday, the Turkish Intelligence and members of the Civil Police arbitrarily arrested a 48 years-old civilian in Afrin City northern of Aleppo for unknown reasons. According to reliable SOHR sources, the civilian was brutally tortured after being taken to a prison in the centre of the city, while his fate remains unknown.

It is worth noting that the civilian hails from Sanara Village in Shiya district in Afrin countryside.

Moreover, a young man from Ma’rashurin Village in Idlib countryside was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen in Afrin City with no information regarding his fate.

“Al-Sultan Suleiman Shah” Faction (Al-Amshat) continues committing violations against residents of Afrin by imposing royalties, despite the US issuing sanctions on the faction.

“Al-Amshat” Faction expelled five families from their houses in Shaikh Al-Hadid, to house families of its gunmen.
