New attack | Regime lieutenant shot dead by sniper of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” operations room in southern Idlib countryside
A regime lieutenant was shot dead by a sniper of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” operations room in Jabal Al-Zawiyah area in southern Idlib countryside. It is worth noting that the dead soldier hailed from Deir Ba’albah neighbourhood in Homs city.
Since early 2023, SOHR has documented 417 operations in the “de-escalation zone,” including attacks, gunfire by snipers and bombardment, which left 603 combatants and civilians dead. In addition, these operations left over 263 combatants and 207 civilians, including 24 women and 44 children, injured.
The fatalities can be distributed as follows:
- 108 civilians, including 14 women, 43 children, a civil defence member and a nurse, were killed by regime forces.
- 376 members of regime forces, including 25 officers.
- An Afghan militiaman of “Liwaa Fatemiyoun.”
- A member of the Syrian Hezbollah.
- 90 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, including a French jihadist.
- 14 members of the jihadist faction of “Ansar Al-Tawhid.”
- One member of “Ahrar Al-Sham” movement.
- Two members of “Al-Sham Corps.”
- One member of “Hurras Al-Din” organisation.
- The Commander-in-chief of Russian Special Tasks Forces.
- A militiaman of the Iranian-backed “Liwaa Al-Baqer.”
- A member of “Soqour Al-Sham.”
- Six members of the “National Liberation Front
