During past 48 hours | Turkish authorities forcibly deport more than 200 Syrians to northern countryside of Aleppo
During the past 48 hours, the Turkish authorities forcibly deported 215 Syrians to the crossings in “Euphrates Shield” areas in the northern countryside of Aleppo, where 200 Syrians on 4 buses arrived to the Bab Al-Salamah crossing. The Turkish authorities also transferred 13 Syrians to Jarablus border crossing, and took their fingerprints and eye scans to ensure that they would not return to their territory. They also forced them to put their fingerprints on papers proving their voluntary return to Syria.
Turkish authorities continue to forcibly deport Syrians through the land crossings with areas controlled by the Turkish-backed factions in “Peace Spring” and “Euphrates Shield” areas, as well as Bab Al-Hawa crossing north of Idlib, which links Turkey with HTS-held areas.
On October 16, SOHR reported that the Turkish authorities arrested 31 Syrian refugees in Ingol area in Borsah Turkish state, after raiding one of the houses where they were in, accused of illegally entering, where they were taken to the Syrian-Turkish border to be forcibly deported to Syria.
