Amid deployment of Coalition Forces in Theban town | Explosions rock Coalition base in Koniko gas field in Deir Ezzor countryside

SOHR activists have reported hearing explosions in the area of Koniko gas field, which hosts a military base of the International Coalition Forces in Deir Ezzor countryside, amid reports about an alleged attack with rockets fired from areas controlled by regime forces and Iranian-backed militias on Euphrates river bank opposite the Coalition base.

 

Meanwhile, Coalition Forces were deployed in Theban area in Deir Ezzor countryside on Euphrates river bank opposite Al-Mayadeen.

 

A few hours ago, SOHR sources reported that at least two explosions were heard in the International Coalition base in “Al-Shaddadi” in southern Al-Hasakah countryside, amid reports about targeting the base with two missiles by Iranian-backed militias, where warning sirens were fired by the International Coalition. This coincided with deployment of its forces and flight of International Coalition’s drone to monitor developments in the region. However, no casualties were reported.

 

On October 25, SOHR sources reported that five missiles landed in Kharab Al-Jeir Base in Rmelan and its vicinity, where this is one of the US bases in north eastern of Syria, coinciding with the flight of drones over the region. However, no casualties were reported.

 

Iranian-backed militias, In the past days, carried out attacks against International Coalition Forces within their bases in northern and eastern Syria. These attacks targeted the bases with rocket and strikes by drone, as part of the “revenge for Gaza” campaign.

 

SOHR has reported nine attacks on International Coalition bases since October 19, they are distributed as follows:

 

  • Two attacks on Al-Tanf base.

 

  • Two attacks on Al-Omar oil field base.

 

  • Two attacks on Koniko gas field base.

 

  • One attack on the American base in Rubarba in Al-Malikiyah countryside.

 

  • One attack on the Kharab Al-Jair base in Al-Rumailan.

 

  • One attack on Al-Shaddadi base.
