Hama | Four civilians killed in today’s attack by drone on civilian house in Al-Rabi’ah

SOHR activists have documented the death of four civilians, including two women, as a drone dropped two bombs on a civilian house in Al-Rabi’ah town in the western countryside of Hama. In addition, the attack left a family of five injured, amid a state of panic among residents.

On the other hand, regime air-defences managed to shot down six drones, as they attempted to attack positions in Hama and Homs. Meanwhile, other squadrons of drones have been flying over the region, amid attempts by air-defences to shot them down.

SOHR activists had reported hearing explosions in the countryside of Hama and Homs provinces, which were caused by drone attacks and gunfire by air-defences.

It is worth noting that this was the third attack of its kind in regime-controlled areas in less than three hours.

SOHR sources reported earlier that a drone was launched from areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and opposition factions, where it flied over Al-Suqaylabiyah city and dropped two bombs on a civilian house in Al-Rabi’ah, before regime anti-aircraft and Russian-backed militiamen shot it down.

SOHR sources had reported that regime anti-aircraft opened fire on a drone while flying over Aleppo city, where it was fired from the western countryside of Aleppo. It is not known if the drone was shot down or not, but no casualties were reported.

This was the seventh attack of its kind in Aleppo city since early October.

SOHR has documented the death of 21 civilians and injury of 17 others in aerial and ground attacks by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and opposition factions on regime-controlled areas near the “de-escalation zone in 2023, precisely since June 21. The fatalities are distributed as follows:

• Five civilians, including three children, were killed in bombardment on Hama countryside.

• Nine civilians, including two children and four women, were killed in drone attacks on Hama countryside.

• A man was killed in an attack by an armed drone on Al-Qardaha in Latakia countryside.

• Four civilians: two little girls, a woman and a man, were killed in bombardment on west Aleppo countryside.

• Two civilians were killed in rocket fire on Al-Ruwaymiyah village in Latakia countryside.
