Missed for a week | Fate of 32 Syrian refugees in Libya remains unknown, amid reports on arresting them
The fate of a group of Syrian refugees in Libya remains unknown for a week, amid demands to disclose their fate.
According to SOHR sources, communication with 32 Syrian civilians from Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) were cut off a week ago, amid reports amid arresting them by Libyan authorities.
We, at the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), call for disclosing their fate, and appeal to all international powers to help Syrian refugees who sought for stability in Libya.
Syrian refugees, who have fled from the war in their homeland dreaming to enjoy stability, suffer from disastrous situations in security centres in Libya.
It is worth noting that the Libyan authorities have closed Al-Mayyah resettlement centre which hosted nearly 1,500 citizens of Syria, Egyptian, Eritrean, Ethiopian, Bangladeshi and other nationalities.
