Planning for second round of battles | Frequent meetings by regime officers and commanders of Iranian-backed militias regarding “Al-Sheikh Nawaf Ragheb Al-Bashir”

Deir Ezzor province: Several meetings by officers and commanders of regime forces and commanders of Iranian Revolutionary Guard took place during the past few days, to discuss the reasons for the failure of the attack which led by “Al-Sheikh Nawaf Ragheb Al-Bashir” on SDF during the past days in Deir Ezzor countryside, amid a state of tension in the region, where the situation may get worse if there is no solution.

According to the sources, quantities of weapons have entered eastern and western Deir Ezzor countryside and have been sold in the region. This implies an ammunition supply for local gunmen in case there are new campaigns and clashes in the next days.

The meetings took place in the headquarters of “Liwaa Al-Baqer” in Al-Vellat neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor city, the military intelligence branch and the security square in Al-Mayadeen city in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
During the past week a new formation was formed and fully supported by Iran.

Meanwhile, violent clashes lasted for days between members of SDF and local gunmen in Deir Ezzor countryside, causing casualties among both sides, where SDF completely took control of the region.
