Forcible deportation | Turkish authorities deport 70 Syrians, bringing  the number of deported refugees in the past 72 hours to 170

Turkish authorities deported nearly 50 Syrian refugees from Turkey to Syrian territory through Tel Abyad crossing within “Peace Spring” area, after they were forced to sign voluntary return documents, where they were handed over to the military police.

 

Meanwhile, Turkish authorities deported 20 other Syrian refugees from Turkey to Ras Al-Ain, increasing the number of deported Syrians in the past 72 hours to 170.

 

On August 26, the Turkish authorities deported more than 100 Syrian refugees through Tel Abyad crossing including 23 women and their children.

 

While on August 22, SOHR sources reported that the Turkish authorities deported 20 Syrian refugees from Turkey to Ras Al-Ain city within “Peace Spring” area in Al-Hasakah countryside, after forcing them to sign voluntary return documents.

 

The deported refugees were left on the road in front of “Abdullkareem Kosa” school, where pro-Turkey factions did not  allow them to enter the school.

 

According to SOHR sources, the deported refugees suffer from difficult humanitarian and living conditions, where they call upon the international community and humanitarian organisations to prioritise addressing the cause of forcible deportation of Syrian refugees from Turkey, especially with the lack of basic livelihood and ongoing security chaos in light of ongoing military battles in Syria.

 

SOHR sources reported had that he Turkish authorities deported nearly 500 Syrians to “Peace Spring” operation areas through Tel Abyad Crossing in northern Al-Raqqa countryside since the beginning of August, in continuation of the demographic changes in northern of Syria, where the Turkish authorities work on transporting Syrians from different provinces to “Peace Spring” areas in Al-Raqqa countryside, that is isolated from other areas of the factions.

 

According to reliable SOHR sources, the deportation operations took place in daily batches, where the deported people are transported from Turkey to “Peace Spring” areas.
