Accidental explosion | Grenade explosion kills young man in Talbiseh city

Homs province: SOHR sources have reported that a young man was killed by the explosion of a grenade in his possession in his house in Al-Mashjar Al-Shamali neighbourhood in Talbiseh city in Homs countryside. It is worth noting that the victim was a civilian and never joined military or security formations.

This coincides with the proliferation of arms and failure by security authorities to control the security situation. Also, voluntary recruitment in the ranks of the National Defence Forces has further contributed to escalating the worrying phenomenon of proliferation of arms.
