Days after being shot by unknown people | “Goldsmith” died of his wounds in Homs city

Homs province: A “goldsmith” died of wounds he sustained a week ago by unknown gunmen who shot him in front of his house in Bab Al-Sebaa’ neighbourhood in Homs city, hit his head with a sharp tool and stole his bag that contains gold.
On May 2, SOHR reported that unidentified gunmen opened fire directly on a goldsmith in front of his house in Bab Al-Sebaa’ in Homs, while some of the gunmen hit him on the head with a sharp object and stole a bag of three kilograms of gold jewelry, before fleeing to an unknown destination.
The Syrian Observatory has documented 82 murders in regime-controlled areas since early 2023, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 89 fatalities: 21 women, 58 young and adult men and ten children. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:
• Rif Dimashq: 14 murder crimes left a woman, 13 men and a child dead.
• Latakia: 11 murder crimes left four men, eight women and two children dead.
• Al-Suwaidaa: 15 murder crimes left two children, ten men and three women dead.
• Homs: Seven murder crimes left five men, a woman, a young man and a child dead
• Hama: Three murder crimes left three men dead.
• Daraa: 11 murder crimes left ten men and two women dead.
• Damascus: Nine murder crimes left three women, a child and five men dead.
• Aleppo: Four murder crimes left three children and two women dead.
• Deir Ezzor: Six murders crime left seven men dead.
• Al-Hasakah: One murder crime left one woman dead.
• Al-Qunaitrah: One murder crime left one young man dead.
