After two civilians were arrested | Gunmen storm security centres and arrest members in Talbisa city

Homs province: An armed group from Talbisa city stormed the the Political Security Station and the Centre of Talbisa city in northern Homs countryside and took control over it, as a response to a security patrol arresting two young men from the city on an agricultural road.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the gunmen forced the police officers and the Political Security to stay inside the joint building until they communicate with the heads of the security branches in Homs to reveal the fates of the arrested people.

It is worth noting that civilians felt fear and closed their commercial stores especially in Al-Karama Street that is adjacent to the Political Security.
A group of armed men from the city opened fire near the areas of Military Security, Political Security and State Security stations to express their discontent regarding the arrest of civilians, while no one dared to leave the guard posts or go to the armed youths to calm the situation.

On March 17, SOHR sources reported that unidentified gunmen opened machinegun fire on the military intelligence station in Talbiseh city, near Homs-Hama highway, in the northern countryside of Homs.

The attack left a guard of the military intelligence station injured, while the attackers ran away towards Al-Rastan city.

According to SOHR sources, members of the military intelligence station and the nearby state security station were put on high alert in the site of the attack.
