Rising tension | Viol*ent clashes between gunmen from Menagh and Liwaa Asifat Al-Shamal militiamen in Azaz leave three de*ad and seven injured
Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that violent clashes with heavy weapons and mortars erupted between gunmen from Menagh and militiamen of Liwaa Asifat Al-Shamal in Azaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo. The clashes have left three people dead and seven others injured, amid a state of panic among the residents and calls by preachers, via loudspeakers of mosques, to stop clashes. Accordingly, the number of fatalities in today’s clashes in Azaz has increased to four.
This comes as a part of the deteriorating security situation in areas controlled by the “National Army” factions.
SOHR sources have just reported that a field commander of Liwaa Asifat Al-Shamal was killed and others sustained various injuries in Azaz city in the northern countryside of Aleppo during clashes with light and medium weapons between a group of militiamen from Menagh village and another group of militiamen from Ashawi family. The clashes erupted between the two groups, both operate under the banner of Liwaa Asifat Al-Shamal, near Hamshu complex in Azaz city centre. Meanwhile, the military police dispatched several patrols to the site of clashes in order to settle the clashes.
