Second murder in 24 hours | Displaced Syrian woman killed in “Al-Hawl mini-state” in Al-Hasakah countryside

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that a new murder took place in Al-Hawl “mini-state” in the far south-eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah, where a displaced Syrian woman was killed and found dumped in sewage in the fifth section of Al-Hawl camp.

It is worth noting that this is the second consecutive murder of women in Al-Hawl camp in the last 24 hours.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported a new murder committed in the Al-Hawl “mini-state” in the far south-eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah, when an unidentified body of a woman was found dumped between the fourth and fifth sections of the camp.

This crime comes in light of ongoing and escalating ISIS activity by committing murders in Al-Hawl camp, which houses ISIS families and members.

Accordingly, the number of murders documented in the camp since early 2022 has risen to 18, which left 18 people dead; and they are as follows:

• Six Iraqi refugees, including two women.

• Six Syrian people: Two men and three women.

• Five unidentified women.

• A medic was killed in the post where he worked in the camp.
