Anti-ISIS riads in Syrian desert | Russian airstrikes target ISIS positions in Al-Sokhna

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that violent clashes took place, in the early hours of Tuesday, between ISIS members and the 4th Division forces on Al-Shula-Al-Sokhna frontline in the Syrian desert.

Meanwhile, Russian aircraft have conducted, also in the early hours of Tuesday, airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in Al-Sokhna desert in east Homs. But, no casualties have been reported yet.

Yesterday, ISIS members carried out a new ambush in the Syrian desert, targeting a regime forces’ military convoy consisting of several vehicles, within the administrative boundary between eastern Homs desert and eastern Deir Ezzor desert, in oil pumping stations ”T 2, T 3” areas, SOHR activists said.

ISIS ambush killed nine regime soldiers, Fifth Corps, and other militias and wounded 15 others.
