Joint patrol | Russian and Turkish forces tour villages in Ain al-Arab (Kobani)
Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a new joint patrol in the countryside of in Ain al-Arab (Kobani). Four Russian military vehicles and four other turkish set off from Ashmah village and toured the villages of Jarqli Fuqani, Qarran, Dakmidash, Kharkhouri, Buban, Saftak, Jul Bek until it reached Tel Sha’ir village which is located four km to the west of Ain al-Arab city. The patrol, which was escorted by two Russian helicopters, was the 68th joint patrol between Russian and Turkish forces since a ceasefire reached in north-east Syria region.
On August 16, SOHR activists reported a new joint patrol ran by Russian military police and Turkish forces in the eastern countryside of Ain al-Arab (Kobani). The patrol which comprised eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles set off from Ghareeb village and toured the villages of Karbenaf, Kousak, Alyshar, Joum Ali, Kourtak, Qoubak Satan, Terry, Teljeeb, Tel Hajeb, Qabajiq Sagheer, Bouztabah, Qourah Mough, Jishan till it reached the junction of Khorabisan Fouqany village, before it returned to the starting point. It is worth noting that the patrol was escorted by two Russian helicopters.
