Old ordnance | Landmine explosion injures child and young man in rural Afrin
SOHR sources have reported the explosion of an old landmine nearby Kalouta village of Shirawa district in the northern countryside of Afrin in northern Aleppo. The explosion injured a child and a young man seriously, while they were shepherding sheep.
On April 14, SOHR sources reported an explosion in Al-Hazanah village in Masyaf countryside in regime-held areas in the western countryside of Hama, which injured six children. However, it was not known if the explosion was caused by the explosion of an unexploded shell or a piece of old ordnance.
SOHR sources reported earlier that day an explosion in Al-Iman camp in Azaz area in north Aleppo countryside, caused by grenade explosion in a person while he was tampering with it. The explosion killed the man and injured two others.
Moreover, three children sustained serious burns on April 11, as a result of an explosion of a an unexploded shell near al-Nassara Park in Deir Ezzor city.
