ISIS resurgence in SDF-held areas | Cells slaughter young man in Al-Shuhayl town, threatening to carry out similar operations

SOHR sources say that the head of a young man was found separated from his body by a sharp object in the town of Al-Shuhayl, which is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces, in Deir ez-Zor countryside. The head was left on a box with a note which reads “This is a punishment for those who sold their religion and afterlife, and we promise you, you all disbelievers, that you will see the most terrifying days of your lives and the worst is yet to come… The Islamic State.”

This comes in light of the large activities of ISIS cells within the SDF-held areas, with their threats to SDF members and the people of Deir ez-Zor.

Two days ago, reliable sources told SOHR that four ISIS members on motorcycles toured Al-Sabha village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, calling upon the relatives of SDF members and threatened to kill their sons if they did not give up working for SDF in no more one week.
