Infiltration attempt | Turkish forces and their proxies sneak to key village in rural Ain Issa, amid intensive shelling and clashes
Al-Raqqah Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources say that several groups Turkish forces and their proxy factions attempted to infiltrate into the strategic village of Al-Musharifa in Ain Issa countryside in northern Al-Raqqha, where violent clashes erupted with medium and heavy weapons between the sneaking groups and Syria Democratic Forces. The infiltration attempt coincided with exchange of intensive bombardment between the two sides, amid confirmed information of casualties due to the intensive shelling.
It is worth noting that the Al-Musharifa is strategic village, as it is located near Aleppo-Al-Hasakah international highway (M4) which the Turkish forces seek for reaching and cutting it off.
Observatory sources monitored earlier this morning renewed clashes on frontlines of Jahbel and Musheirifeh in Ain Issa countryside, north of Al-Raqqah, between Ankara-backed factions and Syria Democratic Forces. The clashes coincided with Turkish shelling on the area and exchange of fire between the warring parties. However, no casualties were reported.
Yesterday, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that Russian forces set up a new military base in the village of Kalta in the southern countryside of Ain Issa area in northern Al-Raqqah.
