Turkish withdrawals | Turkish forces continue dismantling Shir Mghar observation post in Jabal Shashaboo
Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that the Turkish forces withdrew almost completely from their observation post in Shir Mghar in Jabal Shashaboo, north-western Hama. It is expected that the Turkish forces will empty the entire post in the next few hours.
In the past few hours, tens of Turkish trucks carrying logistical supplies were seen heading from Shir Mghar observation post to rural Idlib.
Yesterday, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that Turkish forces began to withdraw from the “Maarhattat” post on Aleppo-Damascus international highway in the south of Idlib, after dismantling their equipment in the previous day. Turkish vehicles were seen gradually leaving the post in the morning morning.
On November 2, SOHR sources reported that Turkish forces continued their withdrawal from Sher Maghar post in Jabal Shahshabo, north-west of Hama province, to the military post in the village of Qoqfin in the southern countryside of Idlib.
Observatory activists reported complete evacuation of the ninth Turkish observation post in Murek, while the Syrian regime’s flag was raised at the post. This development came 10 days after Turkish forces began dismantling the post.
