Ras al-Ain countryside (Sere Kanier) | Ankara-backed “al-Hamzat Division” seizes agricultural land owned by civilians

SOHR sources say that the Ankara-backed “al-Hamzaat Division” seized agricultural land owned by more than 100 families with an area of 30 hectare in Ras al-Ain countryside in the areas of “Peace Spring” in Hasakeh countryside.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the villages captured by the al-Hamzaat Division are: “Qatina, Al-Hardana, Al-Dawiri, Masajid and Tal al-Barm”, located south and southwest of Ras al-Ain (Sere Kanieh) town in the Hasakeh countryside. Al-Hamzaat Division cultivates civilian land and steals its production, preventing farmers from returning to their villages and farms under the pretext of “dealing” with the SDF and the Self-Administration.

On November 7, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that Turkish-backed factions have prevented farmers from plowing and cultivating their farmlands in villages located on the frontlines between them and Syria Democratic Forces, including the villages of Al-Mahmoudiyyah, Aniq Al-Hawa, Al-Qasimiyyah and Al-Rayhaniyyah, near Tal Tamr area in the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah.

According to SOHR sources, Turkish-backed factions have looted farming equipment in farmlands belonging to the farmers on these frontlines under the pretext of “suspension of farming and cultivation in the region”.
