Russian President Vladimir Putin is coming to Turkey on December 3 for an official visit.
Planned to have taken place in October but postponed on the grounds of Putin's health, the visit is expected to center mostly on the developments in Syria and the two countries' economic relations. Also likely to be discussed at the talks in Ankara are the Israeli attacks on Gaza, Iran's nuclear programme and the nuclear power plant to be built in Akkuyu , Turkey. Russian President Putin will also participate in the Turkey-Russia High-level Cooperation Council meeting in Istanbul and will sign some important agreements of cooperation with Turkey.
The trade volume between Turkey and Russia, one of Turkey’s leading trading partners, is in the tune of $35 billion .
