Through audio and video, demonstrations roam in the city of Aleppo calling for “Islamic Caliphate, arbitration of Allah’s law and toppling secularism”

2 demonstrations took place in the city of Aleppo where they roamed in the neighborhoods of al- Sakhour, al- Salihin, al- MashHad and Bostan al- Qaser carrying banners with the words “ There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah” and chanting with “People wants Islamic Caliphate, people wants to arbitrate Allah’s law, secularist is Allah’s enemy and people wants to topple secularism.” The two demonstrations contained dozens of children and men. The sources informed SOHR that al- Salihin’s demonstration was organized by by Islamist factions, including Jabhet al- Nusra, where armed personals accompanied the demonstration that reached to the neighborhood of Bostan al- Qaser where altercation took place between the demonstrators who were in al- Salihin’s demonstrations and activists who organized a demonstration in the neighborhood of Bostan al- Qaser. Flags carried by the activists had been taken.

In March 27, SOHR published that some Islamic factions and movements demonstrated in the city of Aleppo chanting “Aleppo wants Islamic caliphate”, where gunmen and some horses accompanied the demonstration raising a black banner of “There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah”. They also took another banners carried by citizens and activists. The demonstration went to the neighborhood al- Marjah to al- Salehin, al- Ferdos and al- Haj Bridge then to the neighborhood of al- MashHad in the city of Aleppo.

2 weeks ago, SOHR received a copy of a footage where “the Shura Council of the two neighborhoods of al- Marjah and Bab al- Nayrab have declared its disavowal of all banners and that what represents them is “the clear banner”. The statement announced that “we as the Shura Council of the two neighborhoods of al- Marjah and Bab al- Nayrab have declared that the only banner that represents us is the “clear banner” that is the banner of “There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah”. We have declared our disavowal of all other banners and considered that the people who represent us are the Mujahedin and those who station in trenches who have sacrificed their souls to defend our land and to raise our flag; there is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. However, those who have stayed in hotels outside the country and taken the price of our martyrs’ blood do not represent us at all.”
