Turkey detains ten suspected Daesh militants

Turkish police forces detained ten residents who were suspected of having affiliations with Daesh (ISIS), media reports said Monday according to AP.

The Dogan news agency said the detainees were questioned after Turkish police conducted early morning raids in northwestern province of Sakarya. AP said there has been no official confirmation of the raids but that it had also been reported by pro-government media.

AP said the suspects are believed to be Turkish nationals. The raid shortly follows last month’s detainment of five Turkish citizens who were also suspected of being Daesh militants.

Many countries have cracked down on foreign fighters’ allegiance to the militant group, tackling foreign investments and recruits.
