New organization established in the province of al- Hasakah

SOHR received a copy of a statement of establishing an organization called “al- Jazira Arabiya Soreya “ (the Jazira is Arab and Syrian). The statement declared “To our people in the Syrian Jazira and in the province of al- Hasakah , we convey to you the news of establishing a new organization in the province of al- Hasakah under the name of “al- Jazira Arabiya Soreya” (the Jazira is Arab and Syrian)”. This organization works for:

 

• To maintain the Arab and Syrian character in the province of al- Hasakah and al- Jazira.
• To preserve the unity of the Syrian Jazira territory completely under the flag of the Syrian Arab Republic and under its constitution, rules and leadership.
• To preserve the natural and economical resources in this region and to manage and invest theses sources under the institutions of the Syrian Arab Republic under its rules.
• To maintain the fraternal peaceful coexistence among all elements of the region of Arabs, Kurds, Assyrians, Surians, Armenians and all segments.

 

“We as Arabs represent the majority of population in the region (70%) and we will not allow for any party or organization to control our resources and life because we live in a country that has its own flag, institutions and constitution and that we are not going to be satisfied but with them at all cost,” the statement added.     

 

“We say for the sponsors of separatists project that we are on the lookout for them by all means. So, we cannot accept to live under a banner represented by majority of strangers. However, from now on those people are not going to be safe during carrying out their project”, the statement ended.
