IS militants execute a commander of a rebel battalion in Dabeq

Cross- cutting sources reported to SOHR that IS militants informed relatives of a commander of a rebel battalion that they executed him in Dabeq area in the northeast of Aleppo after he was arrested more than a month ago from the north of Aleppo on charge of being “apostate”.

SOHR published yesterday that IS beheaded a defected first lieutenant in the town of al- Qureyyi on charge of “fighting IS”. The sources reported that the lieutenant was an ex- fighter in the rebel factions but he declared his repentance 2 months ago.
