Four Syrians die in Zaatari refugee camp fire

The victims, who were all from the same family, burned to death when their caravan-home caught fire.

UNHCR’s head of communications in Jordan said it was too early to determine the source of the fire, but a gas cylinder used for household heating was found nearby.

Approximately 84,000 Syrian refugees live in Zaatari, which is located in the city of Mafraq close to the border with Syria.

Recent reports show Syrians constitute 88% of Mafraq’s total population.
