13 rebel and Islamic factions arrest some men for being “agents of the regime intelligence”

Reliable sources reported to SOHR that 13 rebel and Islamic factions carried out raids in the city of al- Dmeir in the east of Damascus and arrested some men and young men accusing them of being “agents of the regime intelligence” and that they confessed of facilitating the regime missions inside the city as well as establishing reconciliation committees aiming at sedition among the rebel and Islamic factions. They also accused of planning to assassinate leaders of factions. In addition to, the factions confirmed that one of them confessed of detonating a booby- trapped car in the city on the instructions of the regime intelligence to delude the crusader coalition and to draw their attention that there are terrorists in the area.

 

The sources confirmed to SOHR that some of the detainees were sentenced to death but the Nusra is afraid of carrying out the judgment for fear of tension and clashes with the relatives of the detainees. However, those who were sentenced were transferred to the rebel and Islamic factions- controlled areas near al- Dmeir while the others were disarmed. In addition to, a circular was directed to those who have weapons and belong to a military faction that they have to go the Security Battalion bringing their weapons with them in order to give them an ID and a document certified by us and stating their possession of the weapons for the security need and within a deadline of a month. In the case of expiry of the period each offense requires legal responsibility.

 

In February 27, a booby- trapped car exploded in the city of al- Dmeir near the mosque of the city leading to kill 11 people at least, while others were injured. The death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation. Another explosion was heard in al- Naseriyya area near al- Dmeir, caused by explosion of another booby- trapped car in the area which led to wound some people. In that time, the people of al- Dmeir accused the regime forces of trapping the cars.
