Al- Maqdesi assassinates al- Banyasi in al- Qalamoun

Cross- cutting resources informed SOHR that Abo Osama al- Banyasi, who was assassinated yesterday in al- Qalamoun in Rif Dimashq, is “the emir of al- Qalamoun Sector” of “Islamic State”. He was assassinated in an ambush set by Abo al- Walid al- Maqdesi, who is “an emir of a group” of “Islamic State”, on backdrop of excommunicating rebels groups in al- Qalamoun by Abo al- Walid. After the assassination IS organization had arrested Abo al- Walid to bring him in front of the Sharia Court.

Abo Osama al- Banyasi comes from the Village of al- Bayda in Banias City in the province of Tartous which witnessed the first mass torture in Syria in April.2011. The village also witnessed the first massacre committed on a sectarian basis by the regime forces and allied militiamen and which left thousands of deaths and missing.
