Islamic State appoints a new Wali for the city of Deir Ezzor

 

Reliable sources informed SOHR that IS organization has appointed a Wali (governor) from the Gulf Nationality for the city of Deir Ezzor after the death of the ex- Wali, who was from Tunisia, in clashes with the regime forces in the first week of December in the mountain that overlooks the city of Deir Ezzor.

 

The sources confirmed to SOHR that IS appointed a Syrian charge d’affaires to run the city of Deir Ezzor before appointing the new wali.
