US leads 16 airstrikes in Syria, seven in Iraq: military

US-led coalition forces conducted 16 air strikes in Syria and 7 in in Iraq since Monday, the US Central Command said.

Ten air strikes near Kobani hit eight small Islamic State units, damaged three fighting positions and destroyed a logistics facility.

In Iraq, five air strikes near the northern city of Bayji struck one large Islamic State unit, three small ones and destroyed two buildings, two vehicles and a sniper position used by the militants.
