Al- Nusra Front and Jund al- Aqsa Organization have issued a statement cancelingtha agreement held with factions called by al- Nusar “the factions that support Jamal Ma’ruf”. The statement declared that the mediation carried out by Ahrato al- Sham movement between the two parties included the following provisions:

  • To arbitrate Allah’s law in all outstanding issues.
  • To identify the guarantor and executor that carry out the Sharia rules on both parties to the conflict (the guarantor and executor is Ahraro al- Sham movement represented by the military commander Abo Saleh Tahhan.)
  • To establish judicial committee agreed by both sides with a mission to summon and judge the wanted individuals or groups from both sides. The committee consists from Sheikh Abdullah al- Mhesni, Sheikh Abo Mosa Ta’um and Sheikh Abo al- Bokhari.
  • Ceasing fire started from the date of conclusion this agreement.

The statement added, “it is agreed with the guarantor and committees on putting up barriers that separate between the two sides in order to prevent any violation that may occur pending the judicial committee to decide the case, with a commitment from the two parties to not passing the barriers of each other. So, when we started to carry out the agreement the following obstacles occurred:

  • Sheikh al- Mhesni has apologized for not participating with the judicial committee for personal reasons.
  • The other party have breached the agreement by passing our barriers that led to arrest some fighters without firing.
  • After the two parties appeared before the court in order to hear their statement the committee demanded something that is agreed upon which is absolute authority in all cases even the non- judicial cases and that opposed the original text of the agreement.

For the foregoing reasons, al- Nusra Front and Jund al- Aqsa Organization consider the agreement null.
